Evaporator-dryer similar to THIN FILM but with a configuration that enables the distances to the rotor walls to be regulated.
The residence times are longer than in the classical thin film systems, which is an advantage in some applications.
The body is not cylindrical, but a truncated cone shape, and the rotor is adjusted to this shape to enable the distance to the stator wall to be changed, and therefore control the film thickness and residence time.
It is used as an evaporator-dryer and can make more concentrated products than the classical Thin Film system. Can also be used in reaction-plus-evaporation applications.
It has an advantage over the vertical Thin Film system in that it can be used in areas with height limitations.
